Frequently Asked Questions
Many of our customers are not aware that Rudy Luther Toyota Scion has a Rental Car Program available for customers in our Service Department. Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions regarding our rental car program:
Question: What is the cost for a rental vehicle at Rudy Luther Toyota?
Answer:
• Daily Rental Fee: The daily rental fee is $17.95 per day. Ask your service advisor for details and eligibility on same day return rental rates.
• Mileage Fee: Rudy Luther Toyota does not charge a mileage fee.
• Fuel Charges: We ask that our customers return the rental vehicle with the same amount of fuel as when they picked it up. If you are not able refuel the car before bringing it back to the dealership you will be assessed refueling charges.**
Question: What do I need to provide in order to rent a vehicle?
Answer: Each customer needs to provide:
• Valid Driver’s License
• Valid and Current Proof of Insurance
• Valid Credit Card
Question: Can I request a specific model to rent?
Answer: Rudy Luther Toyota Scion has many different vehicles available for rental. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a specific model due to availability at the time of rental, but we will certainly try to fulfill your request if we have that specific model available at that time.
Question: If I don’t have a vehicle being serviced at your dealership, can I still rent a car from Rudy Luther Toyota?
Answer: In order to best serve our service customers our rental vehicles are reserved for our service customers.
Question: When I come back to the dealership with the rental vehicle, where do I drop it off and to whom do I give the keys?
Answer: Please drive the rental vehicle directly into the service department. An associate will assist you in checking the vehicle in and provide you with a completed Rental Return form that you will take to the cashier.
Question: Do you always have rental vehicles available?
Answer: Although we usually have rental vehicles available, there are days where all rental vehicles are out. Rudy Luther Toyota does also offer a shuttle service for the surrounding area.
Question: What age do I have to be to rent a vehicle from Rudy Luther Toyota?
Answer: You must be at least 21 years of age to rent a vehicle.
Question: Who is allowed to drive the rental car?
Answer: Only customer(s) listed on the rental agreement are authorized to drive the vehicle. If a spouse or other family member will need to drive the vehicle, we must have their name and drivers license number listed on the rental agreement as well as a copy of their drivers license.
